SUPERVISOR - STEWARDING buy in US, Free Classifieds Ads

Responsibilities:

Summary:

Responsible for the daily operatyions of the Stewarding department, including maintenance and cleanliness of the food preparation area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Supervises the cleaning, supply and serving functions of the Steward Department.
  • Interacts with all shift supervisors including kitchen supervisors and other food and beverage supervisors and line employees to meet daily requirements.
  • Assists in routine inspections to ensure that all health department codes are being adhered to as established by the Seminole Tribe of Florida.
  • Assists in the hiring and disciplining of steward personnel according to established procedures.
  • Promotes positive guest relations at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or GED as well as minimum of three (3) years management experience in the food and beverage areaor the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have proven track record in a high volume capacity preferable management position.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and understand all Seminole Tribe of Florida policies and procedures.

Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

Must be able to complete standard Seminole Tribe of Florida forms and reports.

Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Creole speaking desired.

Computer Skills:

Knowledge or acquired knowledge of computer and software applications, proficient in Excel and Word.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

Must apply for, obtain and remain eligible for the appropriate Seminole Tribal Gaming License. Must acquire Serve Safe and HACCP certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

As part of Seminole Gaming s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended. These background checks may include, but are not limited to:
